Artomatic 2012 | May 18 - June 23

Artomatic is back! For those of you not familiar with DC's largest art offering, Artomatic is a month-long community event, where over 1000 artists take over 11 floors of a building and fill it with just about every kind of art you can imagine. This year's Artomatic will be in Crystal City about a block from the Metro.

The big news for me is that I will be premiering two major works, along with their preliminary drawings and sketches. One of these paintings measures about 6 feet wide, which makes it the largest I have ever painted. I'm very excited to show these new works and I hope you'll have the chance to see them in person.

My paintings can be found on the 8th floor, in the SW corner. More detail are here. I will not be attending opening night, however I will be their on Saturday, May 19th for most of the evening as well as June 2nd from 7:00-9:00 pm for Meet the Artist Night. Please stop by and say hello!

Update

Our beloved two year old Maltese/Bichon, Tuddy (rhymes with woody), was born with heriditary cataracts. She has had both of her eyes operated on with successful results. She is now happy, healthy with perfect (at least for dog standards) eyesight! I would like to thank everyone who helped to cover the cost of the surgery.

I will continue to take commissions to paint your pet’s eye (and everything around it) at half cost, to continue to raise funds for the surgery.

For a 6” x 6” painting, I will charge only $100.

All I’ll need is a good photo to work from and a few weeks to paint. Cats are welcome too. To see examples of eye portraits, please click here.
